The concept was to design a fresh, unofficial version of the Moroccan football jersey, stepping away from the traditional styles and contexts. We introduced a streetwear-inspired oversized fit combined with vintage design elements to celebrate and represent Moroccan culture.

ABOUT

Moroccan fans live for major football events like the Arab Cup, Africa Cup, and the 2026 World Cup, following them with great hope thanks to the country’s talented generation of players. Recognizing this passion, ‘Jerseyland,’ a Moroccan streetwear brand, saw an opportunity to create a jersey that celebrates both the Moroccan people and their rich cultural heritage.

CHALLENGE

One of the main challenges of this project was avoiding copyright conflicts by reinterpreting Moroccan national symbolism without using the official team crest, while still keeping a strong and recognizable identity. Another challenge was finding the right balance between heritage and modernity—using colors, typography, and calligraphic elements that represent the diversity and unity of the Moroccan people without favoring a single cultural expression. The design also required transforming a classic vintage football jersey into an oversized silhouette that could function not only as a sports piece but also as a wearable streetwear garment. Finally, integrating the historical concept of “12 Centuries” into a clean and minimal composition demanded careful visual control to preserve meaning without overloading the design.

THE CONCEPT

This collection was born from memories.
From streets where football was played without rules, from voices that cheered long before stadiums existed, from a love for the game passed down through generations.
Al Maghrib is not about a season or a trend.
It’s about identity.
About the pride of wearing colors that carry history, struggle, and hope.
Every detail reflects a place, a story, a feeling. The kind you don’t learn, you inherit.
This is football as we lived it.
This is Morocco as we feel it.
